Created as a submission for the 20th International Biennale of Theatre Poster, organized by the Wanda Siemaszkowa Theatre in Rzeszów, Poland. Inspired by the transformation at the center of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, this poster focuses on the character of Odette and her transformation under the curse. I explored the contrast between the human figure and the swan through a simplified visual interpretation. The design uses vector-based forms and a strong positive-negative relationship to create the sense of two identities existing within the same figure. The minimal composition allows the transformation to become the central visual element of the poster.
