ABOUT ME
Hi there, I’m Öykü. I’m a visual artist and designer based in Istanbul, Türkiye.
I began my art education at an early age at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Science and Art Center, where I studied from 5th grade through 12th grade. During this time, I primarily focused on visual arts while also exploring literature, receiving awards in essay competitions.
Alongside my visual arts education, I trained in ballet at institutions including the İzmir State Opera and Ballet, Dokuz Eylül University, and the Istanbul University State Conservatory. This experience shaped my understanding of discipline, dedication, and movement, and continues to influence the way I approach creative work.
Over time, my focus shifted increasingly toward visual communication and design. I hold a degree in Graphic Arts from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts and am currently pursuing my master’s degree at the Marmara University Institute of Fine Arts.
Today, I work across both traditional and digital mediums, with an interest in graphic design, visual storytelling, typography, illustration, motion, and 3D. I value interdisciplinary thinking and enjoy bringing different artistic disciplines together to explore new ways of communicating ideas.
